Satoko Shimooka, CXO 2.0 Conference Honoree, Celebrated In Times Square For Intercultural Business Leadership

Dubai, UAE – January 9, 2026 — Satoko Shimooka, Founder & CEO of SIJIHIVE Inc., was recognized with the Business Leadership Excellence Award at the CXO 2.0 Conference. She was featured in New York’s Times Square, acknowledging her work in supporting organizations navigating cross-cultural markets and international expansion. The three-day leadership conference, held from December 8–10, 2025, at the InterContinental DFC, Dubai, UAE, convened senior executives, founders, and business leaders to discuss leadership strategy, organizational performance, and cross-border collaboration.

Satoko Shimooka is a Japanese intercultural communication specialist. She brings over 13 years of experience helping organizations adopt global perspectives by addressing cultural differences in communication, messaging, and market entry strategies. Her work focuses on enabling organizations to communicate effectively across borders while aligning business objectives with cultural context.

As the Founder and CEO of SIJIHIVE, Satoko has led the company to become a trusted partner for global brands entering the Japanese market. One example of her strategic leadership includes guiding a leading SaaS company through market expansion in Japan by developing a culturally aligned go-to-market strategy. This included brand voice localization, messaging adaptation, and UX content alignment, resulting in improved brand positioning and customer engagement in the Japanese market.

In addition to client-facing strategy, Satoko introduced an agile project management framework to improve efficiency across multicultural and cross-functional teams. She also built a fully remote, bilingual, all-female project management team, enabling flexible work arrangements while maintaining structured delivery and accountability. This operating model improved communication, operational efficiency, and team satisfaction while supporting consistent client outcomes.

Satoko’s leadership has been recognized through industry engagements and speaking opportunities. She was invited as a guest speaker by the Web Analytics Consultants Association (WACA) of Japan for an online seminar focused on practical English usage for global business communication. The session was broadcast live and later made available on YouTube. In March 2025, she was invited by Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, to conduct a workshop at the Embassy of Ireland in Tokyo, where she led a session on marketing localization, copywriting, and conceptual storytelling for Japanese market audiences.

This recognition reflects Satoko Shimooka’s contribution to global business communication, intercultural leadership, and inclusive organizational practices that support measurable outcomes in international market engagement.
